Why Homeowners Choose Kaz Coatings

Most Floor Failures Aren't
Material Failures.

Most floor coating failures aren't material failures. They're prep failures. Here's what we do differently.

We grind. We don't acid-etch.

Diamond grinding opens the concrete's pores so the coating can mechanically bond to the slab. Acid etching is faster and cheaper and it's why so many coatings peel up in sheets two winters later. We grind every floor, every time.

We moisture-test before we quote.

Vapor coming up through a slab will delaminate any coating on earth. We test first, and if a floor needs a moisture-mitigating primer, you find out in the estimate — not after the failure.

The owner installs your floor.

No sales rep who disappears after the deposit. No rotating crew. Ryan quotes the job, preps the job, and installs the job. If something isn't right, there's exactly one person to call.

Honest, itemized pricing.

Prep is quoted separately from coating, because a chewed-up 40-year-old slab and a clean new pour are not the same job. You'll see exactly what you're paying for, in writing, before anything starts.

Straight Answers

Questions We Get Every Week.

Will this peel like the kit I bought at the hardware store?

Big-box kits are thin, water-based epoxy applied over acid-etched concrete — usually 8 to 12 mils total. We grind the slab and install professional-grade polyaspartic and polyurea systems many times thicker, with a true mechanical bond. It's a different product installed a different way.

How long does a garage floor take?

Most two-car garages are one to two days from grinding to final coat. Polyaspartic cures fast — light foot traffic the same evening, vehicles usually in two to three days.

My concrete is cracked and pitted. Do I need to replace it?

Almost never. Cracks, spalling, and pitting get routed out and filled with structural repair material during prep, then the coating goes over the top. Resurfacing costs a fraction of a tear-out and replacement.

What does a garage floor coating cost?

Most two-car garages fall between $2,500 and $4,500, depending on the condition of the slab and the system you choose. Every quote is free and itemized, so you'll know exactly where the money goes.

Can you match a specific color?

Yes. Flake blends, solid colors, and metallic pigments all come in a wide range, and we bring samples to the estimate. Custom work — logo inlays, multi-color designs, borders — is something we do regularly.

Do you work in winter?

Yes. Interior garage and basement floors are year-round work. Exterior concrete is weather-dependent, and we'll tell you honestly if a job should wait for spring.

What kind of warranty do you offer?

Every floor carries a written workmanship warranty of one to three years, depending on the system installed. It covers our labor — bond failure, delamination, and peeling caused by installation or prep. The exact term for your system is stated in writing on your estimate before you ever put down a deposit.
